Architectural Episodes 03 Symposium, hosted by Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture and supported by the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE), was held with the participation of academicians and industry representatives from different countries on April 10-11, 2025. Fibrobeton took part in this symposium as a corporate spokesman, focused on the theme of digital transformation in the building industry.

An Interdisciplinary Approach to the Digitalizing Construction Industry

Architectural Episodes 03 Symposium addressed the impacts of digitalization on architectural education, production technologies and culture of building from an interdisciplinary perspective. In the sessions organized within the program; themes such as the role of digital tools in design processes, data-driven production models and next generation construction technologies were discussed. The event, which included both academic and practitioner perspectives, aimed to make visible the multidimensional effects of digital transformation on the architectural environment.

Fibrobeton took part in the event with its Practitioner Perspective

Following the presentation of Melike Altınışık's, Fibrobeton, as one of the corporate spokesmen in the panel, drew attention with its innovative products, developed with the intersection of handcraftsmanship and digital production.

In the presentation, production processes supported by digital tools, parametric methods in practice and cooperation models on digital integration were conveyed. Fibrobeton emphasized its approach of being an active stakeholder in design processes beyond its manufacturer identity.

Muhammed Maraşlı, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, made the following statements in his evaluation about the event: "Such symposiums that bring together the world of academia and practice are very valuable in terms of creating a common language. As Fibrobeton, we care about being a part of this digital transformation in all processes from production to implementation."

Integrated Production Approach to Digital Future

The content presented in Architectural Episodes 03 pointed out that digitalization is not only a means of production, but also a way of thinking and an approach for process design. The examples, presented by Fibrobeton, demonstrated how technology is not only integrated into production but also how it transforms the boundaries between design and production. The advanced techniques, applied in the production of GRC/GFRC and UHPC, which offer solutions to make complex geometries in the building envelope, were conveyed.

Fibrobeton's presence at the symposium was not only about sharing information, but also anout being a part of the bridges, built between architectural education and sectoral development. This environment of interaction between designers, academics and manufacturers allowed concrete examples of current technologies to be presented for both practitioners and future architect
