12.05.2025

Fibrobeton took part in the opening event of the Türkiye Pavilion of the 19ᵗʰ International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia, coordinated by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), held on May 8-9, 2025. The exhibition, titled as “Grounded”, focused on the themes of sustainable lifestyles in harmony with nature.

An Architectural Exhibition Built on the Axis of Soil and Memory

Curated by Ceren Erdem and Bilge Kalfa, the Türkiye Pavilion welcomed the biennial visitors with the exhibition “Grounded”, approaching the soil as a living system that carries ecological and cultural memory and embodies natural intelligence. Taking place in Venice Arsenale, the exhibition calls for reconnecting with nature by bringing together the disciplines of architecture, art, and culture.

Fibrobeton took part in the preview days as one of the stakeholders providing production support to the projects in the exhibition. Fibrobeton also contributed to this comprehensive project with various production techniques. Being part in this international platform that discusses the transforming role of architecture was evaluated with the aim of establishing a relationship with sustainable solutions that reference cultural memory.

“We are a Part of the Global Architecture Ecosystem”

Commenting on the event, Muhammed Maraşlı, Vice Chairman of Fibrobeton, stated: "It is valuable for us to contribute to such an exhibition that re-questions the way we relate to nature. Taking part in this initiative, the Türkiye Pavilion, which opens space for public architectural thinking, offers an important opportunity not only for production but also for cultural interaction."

Cultural Contribution with a Focus on Sustainability

Fibrobeton continues to support creative thinking for the future of architecture and to bring its sustainable production approach together with international cultural platforms. The “Grounded” exhibition, held at the Türkiye Pavilion, will be open to visitors at the Venice Arsenale between May 10 and November 23, 2025.
