The first talk session of the “Dialogues on Leadership Philosophy” series titled “Leaders Who Create New Paths” organized by TÜGİAD (Young Businessmen Association of Türkiye), was held on March 18, 2025 at TÜGİAD Headquarters in Istanbul. Fibrobeton Chairman of the Board, Dündar Yetişener, who was invited as a guest speaker in the event, addressed the transformational power of leadership and intergenerational interaction in his speech.
Innovative Leadership Approach was Evaluated
In the talk session, moderated by Deniz Başıbüyük, Honorary Member of TÜGİAD, Melih Sebastien Durmuş, Vice Chairman of TÜGİAD Board of Directors, and Dündar Yetişener, Honorary Member of TÜGİAD, emphasized that leadership should be evaluated with its long-term impact and cultural heritage dimension rather than individual competence.
Yetişener shared examples from his career journey and stated that leadership is not only about managing the present but also creating a culture that will shape the future. He underlined that true leaders are game changers, open new paths and find solutions in times of crisis. He also stated that young leaders should be inspired by the experiences of the past to build the future.
“Leadership Is the Construction of a Culture That Inspires the Future”
Commenting after the event, Fibrobeton Chairman of the Board, Dündar Yetişener defined leadership not only as a managerial practice, but also as a process of making a lasting impact on corporate and social level. In his speech, he stated that a strong leadership should be based on a vision that goes beyond managing the present and inspires future generations:
"Leadership is about reading the spirit of the times, adapting quickly to changing conditions and taking a stance that can create hope even in times of crisis. True leaders are not only those who maintain the existing order, but also those who are game changers, transform patterns and shape the future. Sustainable success for institutions and societies is only possible with leaders who embrace this mindset."
